CAMRA Kernow Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year 2018

The winners of, CAMRA Kernow (Cornwall Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale) Pubs of the Year 2018 has been decided. Throughout the last year the quality of in excess of 6,000 pints of beer and cider has been scored in Cornwall on the CAMRA whatpub.com application. Theses scores along with visit reports have been used to compile a list of 62 pubs that will make it into the yearly CAMRA Good Beer Guide to represent the Pubs serving the best beer in Cornwall. A selection of the very best pubs have been nominated by the CAMRA Kernow Members to be consider as Pub of the Year or Cider Pub of the year.

CAMRA’s National Pub of the Year considers all the criteria that makes a good pub including fundamentally the beer and cider quality but the overall experience, the cleanliness, the welcome received, the service provided and the positive reflection of CAMRAs aims to promote Beer, Cider and Perry. All CAMRA branches nationally have chosen their pub of the year which then gets entered into 16 regional competitions. The overall winner becoming CAMRA’s National pub of the Year. Our fingers are crossed for regional and national success for our Cornish winners.

The top 4 pubs in the 500+ pubs in Cornwall that were shortlisted in this year’s Pub of the Year title race were the ‘front (Falmouth), the Bell Inn (Launceston), the Red Lion (Newquay) and the Old Ale House (Truro).
