Campaign for Real Ale

About Us

CAMRA Kernow (Cornwall CAMRA) is the Cornwall branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to promoting real ale, cider, perry, and the pub industry.

What We Do: Advocacy for Real Ale, Real Cider and Perry

Support the production and enjoyment of high-quality, traditionally brewed real ales, ciders, and perries. Work with brewers, publicans, and other stakeholders to ensure these drinks remain an integral part of Cornwall's heritage.

Protecting Pubs - Campaign to safeguard local pubs and clubs from closures or detrimental changes. Celebrate the essential role of pubs as community hubs.

Events and Socials - Organise festivals, pub crawls, brewery visits, and other social events for members and supporters.

Awards and Recognition - Nominate and celebrate outstanding pubs and brewers in the region through initiatives like the Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year awards.

Community Involvement - Engage with the public through education, tastings, and opportunities to explore real ale culture.

Membership: Joining CAMRA Kernow offers many benefits, including discounts at pubs, exclusive access to events, and the satisfaction of contributing to the preservation of Cornwall's unique pub and beer culture.
