Cider Pub of the Year Presentation 2016

Saturday 2 July 2016

Cornwall CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year 2016 On Saturday 2nd July 2016 Cornwall CAMRA presented The Red Lion, Newquay the Cornwall CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year award. The event was attended by lots of CAMRA and non-CAMRA members who enjoyed sampling the ciders.

The Stonegate Pub Company Pub is run by Manager Rachael Box who is very passionate about real ciders and regularly has 6 boxed real ciders on the back of the bar. The Red Lion which was refurbished in March is a tradition pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere, enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. The pub is situated overlooking the harbour and boosts fantastic views out to sea. It is close to the centre of Newquay and within walking distance to the bus and train station.

The Red Lion has minimum of 6 traditional real ales, live music, cosy log fire and a separate restaurant area. Food is served daily 12-9pm and has a reputation for a good steak! There is also a secluded seating area at the back of the pub with and a small seating area at the side.
