Scillonian ClubLower Strand
Although named and managed as a 'club', this Hugh Town establishment has a pub licence and features 2 bars, once much frequented by former PM Harold Wilson who opened the newer but smaller Lyonesse Bar, which offers a tremendous view across the harbour. This bar may be open to non-members at restricted times: 1200-1600 Mon-Fri, 1200-1400 Sun, and 1800-2100 all week. The older bar and family room is much larger and hosts a pool table and darts, cabinets with gig racing trophies, and mixed décor with a general Scillonian theme. Up to 3 real ales are available during summer (from Easter to September) such as St Austell Tribute, Skinner's Betty Stogs or other local beers - the selection is, however, often varied. No food Tuesdays; Sunday is quiz night.
