This pleasant small pub, converted from mining cottages, now lies in a rather isolated position having been completely bypassed by the busy A30 nearby. The single L-shaped bar is relatively large, with a small snug adjacent. The two handpumps dispense real ales which are always on. The pub also holds regular themed sessions such as a 'knit and natter' afternoon on Mondays, 'cash bingo nights' on Tuesdays (book ahead), occassional meat draws and other events. There is a large car park, and a beer garden for the summer. There are little bowls of food for your four legged friends available at the bar, at a cost.
