Two Bridges13 Albert Road
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
This small, atmospheric locals' local on the steep hill beside the railway station, has a pleasantly refurbished and comfortable single bar room, L-shaped and with a carpeted area set aside mainly for dining. Local pictures are displayed on the walls. Euchre is played here, as well as darts. Food is available 1200-1500 daily, and 1700-2000 Tue-Sat (no food Mon); evening meals may be themed. Entertainment consists of live music on Sundays, and quiz night Thursdays. Go upstairs to the back garden, where there is a fine view of the bridges. NOTE: whilst the railway station is adjacent to the pub, there is no footbridge and you have to use the road overbridge to get to the downside platform. Allow an extra 5 min walking.
