See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Cosy free house, very popular with both locals and summer visitors, close to Par beach and coastal footpath; boats used to tie up at the quay behind the pub. The original two bars have now become one in an L-shape, but this has been done in a sensitive way which has arguably enhanced the place - there are several drinking and dining areas, with wagon wheels forming an unusual partition. The fireplace includes a proper working Cornish range. An ideal family pub, it boasts a large garden and play area, a restaurant/function room upstairs, and a big car park. Occasional mini- beer festivals are run, and the pub runs unusual competitions for charity. Euchre is also played. The cider is Weston's Old Rosie. Food is available 12:00-14:00 and 17:30-21:00 in winter, all day in summer (Sunday carvery 12:00-17:30). The changing beer may not always be available in the winter months.
