See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
This community pub now describes itself as a 'restaurant and bar'. It was formerly the village school and is believed to be over 300 years old. Delightfully situated at the foot of Hawk's Tor in beautiful countryside, its large carpeted single bar has distinct drinking areas separated by a wooden screen. There is a separate restaurant behind the right-hand end where modern food using Westcountry produce is served. Children are welcome anywhere in the pub. There is a skeletal bus service through the village (Group Travel service 236) which allows for a lunchtime call, Mondays to Fridays only.
