Royal OakDuke Street
Busy and friendly historic 13th-century inn, just off the main road through the old capital of Cornwall. A stone-floored traditional public bar contrasts with a comfortable lounge and attached restaurant. The inn is known for good food, which is available 1200-1500 & 1800-2100. It also has an outside patio with protected area for smokers. A dartboard is available, and there are occasional quiz nights and live entertainment. Accommodation is in 6 ensuite rooms. There is reputedly a tunnel running from the pub cellar to the dungeons in the courtyard of Restormel Castle, which may have been used for smuggling purposes.
