See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Traditionally-styled English pub in the town centre, popular with locals. The modern interior is tastefully appointed, with a tiled floor near the bar and wooden floor towards the rear seating area. Large screen TVs are in evidence, and piped music; live entertainment is confined to special occasions and bank holidays. There is a garden with parasols for shade and also lighting and heaters for smokers and others. The pub supports darts, eucre and poker teams, and there is a pool table. A pub since the 1980s, the building was once a wool shop, hence the name. Food is available daily 1200-1430 & 1800-2030; there is a separate restaurant next door.
