See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Dating from before Napoleonic times, this community-orientated pub claims to be the oldest licensed premises in town. The lively and welcoming slate-flagged public bar provides pub games - darts are played - while regular entertainment includes a quiz night on Mondays. The lounge is quieter and preferred by locals seeking a more relaxed pint, whilst a small function room is also available. There is always one interesting guest ale served in this friendly pub, with the emphasis on local breweries. No food, but you are welcome to bring your own. The pub is near the Camel Trail and the Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway (Bodmin General).
